Chippenham schools to offer limited service when teachers strike

All of Chippenham's secondary schools will be largely closed next Thursday when members of the largest teaching unions, the NUT and NASUWT, stage a one day strike.
Sheldon School has 70 teaching staff affiliated to the two unions and head teacher Neil Spurdell says it will not be in a position to open to pupils.
All three schools - Sheldon, Hardenhuish and Abbeyfield - have offered to provide supervision for students in years 7 and 8 whose parents can not find suitable childcare.
