Expansion pays off for Devizes-based firm
8:00am Tuesday 8th October 2013 in News
Former Wiltshire Council and Kennet District Council planning officer Richard Cosker’s firm has gone from strength to strength.
Mr Cosker took voluntary redundancy from the council and set up RCC Town Planning Consultancy in January 2011 after 17 years in local government, the last eight in Wiltshire.
He worked from his home in Potterne and after a year he took on Jenny Foster, a former Kennet council planner, as an associate planning consultant.
Now he has opened an office in Sandcliffe House, Northgate Street, Devizes, and employed Vicky Cains, who was a planner at Wiltshire Council, as another associate.
RCC provides planning support for all of Devizes-based building contractors Gaiger Brothers’ work, including The Keep at the former Le Marchant Barracks in London Road, Devizes.
It has also worked with fledgling firms to grow, such as Rowdey Cow café, Sixpenny Day Nursery, Devizes, and Equestrian Heights, in Sells Green.
