Chippenham bobbies are safe option
8:00am Friday 4th October 2013 in News
Tots in Seagry took the law into their own hands when police turned up at the pre-school last week.
Chippenham bobbies played the bad guys when they went to meet the two to four-year-olds to teach them about safety.
And the toddlers got to sit in a police car – but only if they were good.
Sally Lewis, supervisor at Seagry pre-school, said: “I thought it would be nice for the children to meet the community officers. It’s important they know there are people they can go to who will help if needed.
“They loved getting to sit in the car and seeing the blue lights. ”
PC Toni Evans, community beat manager for Chippen-ham Rural, said: “Part of the neighbourhood policing team is engaging with the local community, and in line with that I’m going to be working within local schools to raise children’s awareness.”
She will also be visiting Ivy Lane School. Any other interested schools can email her at email@example.com To sign up to Seagry pre-school, call 07773 011321.
