7:00pm Saturday 5th October 2013 in News
A famous African children’s choir, best known for their performance on the number one single Sing with Gary Barlow at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, is to visit Malmesbury.
The choir will be spending three days in town culminating in a performance at Malmesbury Abbey on Friday, October 18, at 7.30pm.
Abbey vicar, the Rev Neill Archer, said: “The choir members will be having school lessons for a couple of days in our buildings and staying with families across the town; and then over 300 of us will pack the abbey for an astonishing performance.”
The 38th African Children’s Choir is made up of 17 children from Uganda.
