Wiltshire offers SAGE advice for older drivers
4:44pm Tuesday 1st October 2013 in News
Older drivers in Wiltshire will have the opportunity to train and learn about the best way to use their cars safely.
A SAGE (Safer Driving with Age) assessment includes a 40-minute driving session and a discussion and debrief after the drive with the instructor making any suggestions that would help improve the person's driving.
The total session time is one to one and a half hours on roads the drivers normally use, in their local area and driving their own vehicle. There is the option to use the instructor's car which could incur an extra charge.
The initiative launched today and people can apply for the £35 assessment by completing an application form at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/sage or at their local doctors surgery.
