They did not know of Mrs Gale’s previous success.
While waiting for the final judging Mrs Gale said: “I’m surprised but really, really happy and proud that Teddy won his category.
“He is a really content baby, he eats well and sleeps well.”
The winner of the 12-18 month category was Arthur Good, 14 months, who won the 0-6 month category at the Devizes Carnival Baby Show last year.
His mum, Hayley-Ann Good, 32, of Cromwell Road, said: “I was absolutely gobsmacked that he won his category. We entered him last year and thought we would give it a go this year.
“He’s a lovely little character, he is always on the go, singing and dancing.”
The winner of the 0-6 month category was Isabella Young, four months, of Flax Mill Park, Devizes. Her dad, Michael Young, 22, won a category in the Devizes Carnival Baby Show himself.
He and his partner, Rebecca Postlethwaite, said: “It’s very exciting. Isabella was as good as gold in front of the judges. She was full of smiles and giggling away.”
There were 18 entries in the show, down on last year, but organiser Jeanette Von Berg was pleased with the turnout
