2:00pm Saturday 24th August 2013 in News
The Long Street Blues Club, which has attracted some of the best blues artists from across the world to Devizes over the past six years, has announced its new season.
It starts on Saturday, September 7, with the Chantel McGregor Band at the Conservative Club in Long Street.
Ian Hopkins, who runs the blues club with his brother Richard, said: “Rightly dubbed the New Queen of British Blues, it has taken over two years to book her, as she is so much in demand.”
On Saturday, October 12, the club welcomes the Pat Travers Band from Toronto, Canada, while, in November, Martin Barre, Jethro Tull’s lead guitarist for more than 40 years, is visiting the club.
For the club’s Christmas party in December, Larry Miller returns and Eugene Hideaway makes his first visit. Season tickets have the reduced rate of £60. Tickets for each gig are £12 or £15 and are on sale at Devizes Books and Sound Knowledge in Marlborough.
