Work starts on five affordable Upavon homes
8:00pm Saturday 17th August 2013 in News
Work has started to build five affordable family homes in Upavon.
Three two-bedroom properties and two three- bedroom homes will be built on a brownfield site off Avon Square.
The £620,000 project, which is being delivered by Aster Homes, got under way with the demolition of existing garages at the site.
Anna Kear, Aster Homes regional development director, said: “Buying a property or even renting one privately in a rural location like Upavon can be very expensive.
“It’s often out of the reach of people who’ve lived locally all their lives, so making sure the village has high-quality affordable homes is absolutely vital.”
Work on the new homes is due to be completed early next year.
