Emergency crews hold annual show at Hullavington
9:00pm Saturday 17th August 2013 in News
Police, fire and ambulance services will join up for next month’s emergency services show at Hullavington.
After a year’s break due to the Olympics, the show is back with new attractions.
An operational lifeboat and support vehicle is expected to be exhibited, plus a parachute jump by the Renegades and displays from police dogs and the road traffic teams.
Louise Knox, a show committee member, said: “It is an opportunity for people to meet the emergency services, without something having to go horribly wrong first. Often they don’t realise we have things like rope rescue specialists, animal rescue specialists and even decontamination equipment.”
Visitors can also enjoy vintage fire engines, fun fairs, rides in emergency vehicles and demonstrations at the event on September 8 at Hullavington airfield.
For tickets, visit www.emer gencyservicesshow.com or call (01380) 732999. Tickets bought online are £5 per adult and £2.50 for children.
