A Corsham company has made a generous donation to a local charity, to help more people access the Gazette & Herald.
Electrical engineers P & B Weir donated £500 to the Chippenham Talking News-paper group, to help it share the Gazette with visually impaired people in Wiltshire.
Gwyn Rees, from the group, received the cheque on a recent tour of the firm’s facilities.
He said: “We’re very grateful for this generous donation. We rely totally on donations to provide the service, and we know it has a positive impact on our listeners, and that they get great mileage from listening to our recordings of the paper.”
The group records local newspapers onto cassettes for people with limited eyesight in the Chippenham, Malmesbury and Melksham areas. For more, call Mr Rees on (01225) 847289.
