In answer to a question from North Wiltshire MP James Gray yesterday, the Prime Minister paid particular tribute to the people of Royal Wootton Bassett for their support for our troops.
Mr Gray enquired during the Prime Minister’s Commons Statement on Afghanistan what plans he had for Camp Bastion after our withdrawal from it.
The Prime Minister’s immediate response was to pay tribute to the way the people of Royal Wootton Basset had shown “the best side of Britain in welcoming back, sombrely and properly, those who have fallen in combat operations in Afghanistan”.
