A BIG charity event is brewing for Marie Curie Cancer Care as it prepares for its Blooming Great Tea Party.
The charity wants people to hold a tea party in June or July with the money raised helping Marie Curie nurses to provide more free care to patients with terminal illnesses in their own homes.
Lucy Stockall, community fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said: “Whether you’re a dab hand at baking cakes, or simply enjoying a cuppa with friends is more your cup of tea, holding a Blooming Great Tea Party is a fun way to get together and raise funds for an important cause.”
Volunteers from the Kennet and Avon Canal Trust are already making plans to hold a fundraising party.
