Wiltshire Air Ambulance is set to receive a share of £180,000 from The Freemasons’ Grand Charity, as part of its latest round of grants.

The money will be split between services spread across the country, including Great Western Air Ambulance and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Grants range from £4,000 to £20,000 with a further £12,000 yet to be allocated.

Laura Chapman, chief executive of The Freemasons' Grand Charity, said: "We are delighted to be able to show our support for air ambulance charities once again with a donation of £192,000.

"Supporting these rescue services remains popular within Freemasonry because of the important work they carry out in communities across the country.

"We hope that the £1.3 million that has been donated since 2007 has made a valuable contribution and helped to save lives."

Since the Freemasons became a regular support of air ambulance charities in 2007, they have donated £1.3 million to the 22 air ambulances which cover England and Wales.
