Children met the fearsome creature that stars in the Gruffalo series of books when they went along to Devizes Library in their Easter break.
The Gruffalo, created by award-winning Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, was visiting ten libraries across the county and the Devizes youngsters were treated to readings from some of the Gruffalo stories as well as taking part in activities connected with the books.
There were numerous activities for children in the area over Easter, many of them free. At Wiltshire Museum in Long Street, children were able to make their own mosaics from glass tesserae.
