Budding photographer Jacob Tanner has won a competition organised by Wilkins Builders for John Bentley School pupils.
The 17-year-old, who hopes to use his photography skills to bag a career in marketing and advertising, received a £50 prize from Wilkins Builders last week.
His winning entry, along with other entries from A-level art students, will be used to make up a calendar for the company.
Jacob, of Canal Close, Calne, won the competition with a photograph taken near Bowood on a winter morning, which shows the sunrise through the trees.
He said: “There are a lot of students at John Bentley who are incredibly talented and I didn’t expect to win. Hopefully it will go towards fuel in my car – it’s nice to travel to other places and take photos.
“I do really enjoy landscape photography. It started out just as a hobby but I would hope to use my skills to working in marketing and advertising in the future.
“I hope to join an apprenticeship scheme with Apple in their marketing division. I had an interview with them over the past week and I’m waiting to hear back.”
