Vicar is off on trek to the Sudan

Seend vicar the Rev Renee Coulson is off on her travels again as she prepares to trek through South Sudan.

Mrs Coulson, who travelled to Tamil Nadu in India last year to work at a school, will be part of a party of women walking through one of the world’s youngest countries in aid of Christian Relief and Education in South Sudan (CRESS).

She will once again be covering her own expenses so that all sponsorship goes to the charity. She is planning a tandem skydive on Friday, June 7.

She said: “Considering I pale at the thought of fairground rides, this will prove a huge challenge for me, despite the fact that I’ll be attached to a strapping man when I take the plunge.

“Monies raised will be shared between Wiltshire Air Ambulance and CRESS. I will also match your gifts by making a personal donation of £500 to Seend School’s building fundraising appeal.”

Sponsorship forms are available from Holy Cross Church or Seend Post Office.
