Two Wiltshire towns, Marlborough and Bradford on Avon, are included in The Times newspaper's 30 Best Towns in Britain list.

Marlborough appeared 10th on the newspaper’s list and was noted for the Duchess of Cambridge’s school days that were spent there, the Marlborough Downs and it being a popular place for people relocating from London.

Bradford on Avon came in at number 27 on the list and was noted for its ancient stone bridge, described as ‘postcard pretty’, and its patchwork of historic buildings.

The town was praised for it ‘tremendous’ pubs and The Shambles for its ‘quirky’ shops and it was noted as a good position for commuters travelling to Bristol and Bath.

The survey was based on the towns’ history, housing, amenities and their appearance. House prices and the opinions of property professionals were also taken into account.
