Store helps Chippenham opportunity pre-school

Children at Springboard pre-school in charity have received sensory gifts from the builders who worked on Sainsbury’s petrol station.
As part of a community gift initiative, Williams construction gave sensory light boxes for visually impaired children, a lawnmower and strimmer to maintain their sensory garden with disabled access, and an iPad they can use to download learning and development apps.
Springboard manager Jane Boulton said: “Thank you to Williams Southern and Sainsbury’s. With the light boxes the children and families are experiencing new and stimulating play opportunities that support all areas of learning.
“The Ipad is supporting children’s development in communication, IT skills and creativity and ensures that the children are skilled for the technological world that we live in.”
The petrol station in Bath Road, closed since January 7, reopened last Wednesday after nearly ten weeks of construction work.
