Ryan rises to the occasion Malmesbury Cake Society’s Easter Extravaganza

Great British Bakeoff contestant Ryan Chong made a guest appearance at Malmes-bury Cake Society’s Easter Extravaganza earlier this week.
The event took place in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Mr Chong, who was a contestant on the third series of the BBC Two baking programme, demonstrated to cake lovers from the Malmesbury area how to make puff pastry dishes.
He also took part in a question and answer session.
Cake society organiser, Jess Hancock, said: “He was brilliant.
“He’s a genuinely really lovely guy – really friendly.
“Everyone enjoyed his company and he has said that he will come back – he seemed really keen.”
Malmesbury Cake Society was set up last August by Mrs Hancock to raise money for Cancer Research UK, following her grandmother’s diagnosis with the disease.
The society meets monthly, with each member bringing a themed dish for others to sample.
The next meeting takes place on Monday, April 8, at the King’s Arms Hotel from 7.30-9.30pm.
Entrance costs £4.50 and the theme will be biscuits.
