Calne Fairtrade set for relaunch

Calne Fairtrade group will be relaunched on Tuesday.

The event, which will be held at the Calne Community Hub, is to encourage anybody who is interested in the promotion of Fairtrade products locally, including the surrounding villages.

After a welcome at 2pm, a vote will be held to elect a chairman, secretary and treasurer, as well as group members.

The group will also decide on the frequency of meetings and will discuss how to include representation from the town council and Wiltshire Council.

Recently Calne Fairtrade Group was awarded £980 from the Calne Area Board to help promote its activities.

There will also be a Fairtrade event on Saturday at Calne Community Hub from 10am to noon.
