Students at Malmesbury School are celebrating national Fairtrade Fortnight with an eclectic mix of activities in the theme Take a Step Together.
This week pupils have dressed up their teachers, cooked treats in a bake-off, and taken part in a photo shoot called ‘How You Wear Yours’, with coloured ribbons to support Fairtrade.
Headteacher Tim Gilson said: “It’s a big national campaign, lots of schools do it. We started in 2006 and it’s been an important part of our culture and ethos since then.
“Sasha Basak, a maths teacher here, tragically died a few years ago and this is part of her legacy.”
Fairtrade Fortnight runs until March 8, and the students have several other activities lined up.
