Horsebox breakdown causes huge M4 delays

. .

Queues of traffic built up on the M4 towards Newbury last night while emergency services worked to help a horse.

Three fire engines, a specialist animal rescue team and a recovery vehicle attended the scene between junctions 14 and 13 eastbound after a call at 4.04pm.

A vehicle towing a horsebox had broken down but crews had to help one of the horses which had fallen over. Tailbacks almost stretched back as far as junction 15.
