The fiftieth anniversary of Wootton Bassett Townswomen’s Guild was celebrated with a festive lunch party attended by many members at Marsh Farm hotel.

The current chairman Maureen Harris welcomed special guests Judith Halfhead and Ann West, whose mothers, the late Mary Halfhead and the late Mary Barnett were founder members in 1962.

The organisation, which has gone from strength to strength in its first half-century, meets monthly at the civic centre in Royal Wootton Bassett on Thursday evenings.
