Calne drunk man given a fine
11:00am Thursday 10th January 2013 in News
A 21-year-old Calne resident was fined £80 for drunk and disorderly behaviour on December 30.
Two police officers heard a banging sound near a chip shop at Church Street and found three young men, two of whom refused to give their details.
One of these, said to be of previous good character, was arrested and taken to Melksham Police Station, where he was fined.
The other man was sprayed with PAVA spray but escaped into the graveyard.
Police have been receiving reports of vandalism to cars in Church Street over the past five weeks, including scratches on cars.
