Chippenham care home manager Clive Churchill decided a 24-hour charity spinathon would be the ideal way to get to know his new staff on his first full day in his new job.

Mr Churchill, who runs Ferfoot Care Home, in Chippenham, was joined by 15 colleagues riding a static bike to raise money for Devizes-based charity Bag4Sport.

Mr Churchill said: “It was a great way for me to get to know my staff in a more social setting and for them to get to know their boss.

“I spent many years in Australia and I was involved in sporting projects and so Bag4Sport, which raises money for grass root sports, is a good fit for us.”

Caring Homes, the parent company of Ferfoot, has donated £600 to the cause and Mr Churchill hopes to raise another £400.
