Paralympic swimmer Stephanie Millward is more at home in water than on a bike but that did not stop her from supporting the launch of the Bag4Sport spin-a-thon.

Training commitments permitting, Miss Millward, who is an ambassador for the Devizes-based charity, will be back at the Route2Fitness gym on February 9 when teams will compete in a 24-hour static cycle ride.

She was in Devizes on Monday just hours after she had been a guest at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award ceremony.

She said: “I firmly believe in the work of Bag4Sport which is raising money for grass root sport and to help stars of the future who as yet do not receive much funding.”

Teams are needed to compete. Visit www.bag4sport.co.uk for details and to register interest in the event.
