Children at Langley Fitzurse Primary School dressed up and tucked into a feast as part of a project on the Tudors.

Phoenix Class have been studying Tudors throughout the term.

The pupils, aged seven to nine, rounded off their learning by dressing up in clothes from the period.

Andrew Skelton, from Chippenham Museum and Heritage Centre, visited with artefacts and pupils used their investigative skills to work out what they were. They included wooden square plates, drop spindles and games.

In the afternoon the children cooked a pork meal with herbs and spices, based on a recipe for Tudor sausages and their parents joined them in eating it.

The children also sang a song containing some Tudor facts.
