A huge pile of shoe boxes, filled with gifts for needy families in Romania and Bulgaria, have been presented to Wootton Bassett & District Rotary Club.
The presentation was made at a St Bartholomew’s Primary School special assembly led by head teacher Suzanne Lane.
John Loran, president of the club, said the gifts will be transported by lorry across Europe for personal distribution to children and their families who may not have any other presents.
“I know that these gifts will make them very happy.” he said.
Mr Loran thanked all who contributed to the project.
The boxes were presented by head girl Anne Woodhouse, head boy Dominic Thomas and their deputies Georgette Jeapes and Kieran Byrne.
