A village pub that had closed down is open and busy again.
The reputation of Three Tuns in Great Bedwyn as being a top local eating out place has already been restored thanks to chef James Wilsey, 33, and his wife Ashley’s management skills. However Mrs Wilsey is having to take a back seat for since the arrival of first child Lily.
When the Gazette revealed in June that Mr and Mrs Wilsey had bought the Three Tuns, villagers were delighted that the 18th century pub had been saved. Mr Wilsey has worked as a chef in pubs in London and Lisburn in Northern Ireland. He has a degree in property management but said: “I always loved putting on dinner parties and doing the cooking.
“When we heard about the Three Tuns we were determined to make it ours.”
