Rachel Sims and Craig Gillespie at their Halloween-themed wedding
A couple with a penchant for the peculiar put a spooky spin on their wedding day – just in time for Halloween.
Craig Gillespie and Rachel Sims turned up at Devizes Town Hall on Friday in a glorious ensemble of black and purple. Miss Sims’s bouquet and Mr Gillespie’s buttonhole were made of leather, wound with barbed wire.
Mr Gillespie, 34, and Miss Sims, 32, met online when Miss Sims had tickets for a rock concert. They found a lot in common, especially in their love of “spookiness”.
Mr Gillespie, a draughtsman at T H White, Devizes, originally hails from All Cannings. Miss Sims is originally from Slough.
The couple and guests posed for pictures with a classic Dodge Coronet American car and among the tombstones in nearby St John’s churchyard.
The reception featured bands Devilish Presley and Global Noise Attack playing to a backdrop of black-and-white horror films.
The couple are spending their honeymoon in London and plan to attend a gig with 1970s rock star Alice Cooper.
