Families enjoyed a hugely spooky time at Lacock Abbey’s Giant’s Day yesterday.

As part of the event, two massive eerie characters patrolled the historic grounds holding storytelling sessions in the cloisters while Wiltshire Scrapstore also held a creative workshop for visitors.

The special Halloween activities coincided with the abbey’s ongoing Giant’s Trail which is running at the grounds until today.

Karen Bolger, visitors services manager, said: “It has all gone really well we’ve had lots of children coming along with their families which is great. The weather was also good yesterday which allowed us to put out the giant board games which we have.”

The giants who appeared yesterday's event came along as part of a storytelling group called Raventales who appear at events across the country.
