Police called after passer-by saw power tools being taken from van

Two men were arrested after halting traffic in Malmesbury High Street.
A member of the public called police after seeing the men apparently stealing power tools from a workman’s van in Willow View Close last Thursday.
The suspects’ vehicle turned right from Gloucester Road into the High Street, going the wrong way, which immediately blocked traffic.
Sgt Martin Alvis said: “The offenders ran into a bank and took off outer clothing to change their appearance but were promptly arrested by police officers.”
