Television auctioneers valued people’s antiques last week, raising £169 for Langley Fitzurse Primary School.
Gordon Brockman and Richard Edmonds, stars of the BBC Antiques Road Trip series, work at the Chippenham Auction Rooms and spent a day valuing antiques, collectables and pictures in Kington Langley.
The event at Church Farm was organised as a fundraiser for the village’s primary school.
Tora Butler, chairman of Langley Fitzurse PTA, said: “It was busy all day which was surprising as we had no idea who would turn up.
“We had a little boy come in with a box full of coins which were absolutely his treasure.
“We had lots of children from the school come. A boy called Ben Cunningham had a steam railway toy that was his uncle’s and he came in really proud. It was nice to see young children interested in antiques.”
The duo also held an auction on October 13, raising £1,800 for the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal Trust.
