Elderly man in hospital with head injuries after Chippenham crash

A 75-year-old Chippenham man is being treated for head injuries after he was in collision with a car on New Road, Chippenham yesterday evening.

The man was hit by a white Volkswagen Polo as it turned out of Little George Mead and on to the one way system at around 7.30pm.

He was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath where is still being cared for.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or Chippenham police on 0845 408 7000.
