Investigation at Great Bedwyn Post Office

THE Post Office at Great Bedwyn has reopened after being closed for almost a week.

The Royal Mail Group said postmaster Francis Naumann had been suspended following a routine audit at the Church Street shop "as a precautionary measure pending further investigation".

A spokeswoman said: "The post office closed on Thursday May 8 after we carried out a routine audit."

Mr Naumann kept the rest of the shop open and was back behind the PO counter yesterday saying: "There was a technical problem but it has all been sorted."
