AS A TEACHER and author with a particular interest in Norway during World War Two, I am trying to trace Ken Foster, of North Bradley, whose story featured in the Gazette’s sister paper the Wiltshire Times in 2015.
The article recounted his role in helping to repatriate the exiled Prince Olav to Norway in May 1945, when Mr Foster was part of the crew of HMS Viceroy.
Because of Mr Foster’s role in Norway, he may be eligible for the Norwegian Commemorative Medal, and would be interested in hearing from him or his family.
I am always interested in any veterans who participated in Norway and would be more than willing to see if a medal can be awarded to them.
