It’s the A361 into Devizes again.
Please stop this so-called expert with his stupid traffic light introduction at a junction with Windsor Drive. It obviously has not occurred to him that the purpose of traffic lights is to impede vehicles not to improve the flow.
Anyway the problem is utterly the fault of the A361 running through the town centre.
It must be eventually be realised, why mess about, do it now as  the traffic generally is ten times greater than 1970. I belive this was originally a turnpike road at the St James’s church. Apart from removing the toll barrier no improvement in capacity has ever been made and very probably cannot be widened sufficiently to be worthwhile.
This amount of wasted money and inconvenience is to me unbelievable. May I suggest if you cannot stop him, a trial of temporary “road repairing” lights should be firstly experimented with. Virtual no cost because the council may already have the equipment in stock. Then continually 24 hours a day for at least three months to monitor the result.
