THE Salvation Army in Chippenham would like to thank all the people who have generously donated toys to this year’s Christmas Toy Appeal.
New toys have been given out to more than 240 children. These are families who are struggling to give their loved ones a good Christmas, and have been nominated by Chippenham Social Services, Christians Against Poverty, the RISE Children’s Centres, and other agencies in the local area.
We could not do this without the help of the local community, and would like to thank members of the public, local churches and businesses, including Wilkinson’s, Sainsbury’s, Goodman Warren Beck and to Jo at the book shop in Devizes. Special thanks to the Gazette & Herald who partner us in this appeal by providing the necessary publicity which helps to ensure its success.
We also thank staff from Lloyds Bank in Bristol and Tanya, Kath, Tracey, Jade and Sara from the Co-op store at Broomfield in Greenway Lane, Chippenham and all the other people who volunteered to help sort out the toys for us.
Thank you once again.
