Set in Queens, New York, this appealing, bittersweet comedy,is about three superannuated Jewish widows Ida, Doris and Lucille, who together form the Cemetery Club.

In an attempt to come to terms with their loss, the three life-long friends meet at Ida's house every month for tea, before going on to the cemetery to remember the good times and gossip with their late husbands.

There, one beautiful afternoon, the widows meet Sam, the local butcher, a chance meeting which changes the lives of all of them for ever.

Rosemary Shaw directs a strong cast that includes well known actors, Lewis Cowen, Elaine Beale, Merrily Powell and Tina Duffin.

Packed full of one-liners to die for, Cemetery Club is wise and witty and will keep you thinking long after curtain close.

It runs at the Wharf from tomorrow until Saturday April 19.

Performances start at 7.30pm.
