A poor memory is a blessing when you see a classic whodunnit for the umpteenth time. It wasn't until halfway through the second half that I remembered the twist.
A wonderful cast, which includes Gerald Harper, Denis Lill, Peter Byrne, Mark Wynter, Jennifer Wilson and Chloe Newsome, play the melodrama for all it is worth and stylishly send up this improbable thriller, without negating its edginess.

Agatha Christie's original title has passed through several politically correct revisions, but the story is the same. Ten people - all strangers to one another, apart from the married couple who are servants - are lured to a glorious art deco house on an island and one by one they meet their deaths according to an old, and grim, nursery rhyme.

Each of them has a guilty secret, and the murderer knows them all.
Special effects, lighting and music all enhance the slightly tongue-in-cheek approach.
