Wootton Bassett Light Operatic Society's pantomime, Snow White, by Bruce Gardiner, attracted large, enthusiastic audiences to the Memorial Hall last week.
The show, directed by Marion Aspell assisted by Ros Vickers, was another triumph for WBLOS. Excellent costumes, colourful sets and fine individual performances were matched by a good, strong storyline, songs galore, drama and comedy. In the title role, Laura Dark revealed star potential.

She was ably partnered by Suzanne Russell as Prince Valiant. The evil Queen Electra was played brilliantly by Louise Roche, who set everyone booing.
Kim Pethybridge and Margaret Oakley were Ching and Chang, the servants who scurried at her every command. Stuart Dark as the panto dame, Snow White's childhood nursemaid, was a sheer delight, and his costume for the double wedding finale had to be seen to be believed.
Kayleigh Stanley, as the storyteller, had a pivotal role, and splendid support came from Joseph Wright (the King), Tammy Hollands (Sammy), Alan Fisher (Hugo the woodcutter), Becky Munton (the Spirit of the Mirror) and the troupe of woodspeople: Beth Fisher, Georgie Smith, Sasha Grant, Beth Lawrence, Deanna Aspell, Tom Fisher and Linda Worth.
