Picnic and enjoy the Bard
10:36am Friday 6th July 2012 in Theatre & Arts
Twelfth Night
Shakespeare Live
Lackham House, July 9-14
SHAKESPEARE’S plays are a central part of this year’s Olympiad celebrations, with every one of the plays performed in many different languages at The Globe in London, a new series of the Histories on the BBC, and a fascinating three parter about Shakespeare’s women, to name but a few.
Here in Wiltshire, you can join in the spirit of the Olympiad by going to Twelfth Night at Lackham House, just north of Lacock, where well-known local group Shakespeare Live will be performing the play in an beautiful outdoor setting, in traditional 16th century costumes, with the highest production standards, for seven shows including a Saturday matinee.
Details can be found online at www.shakespearelive.com or by phoning 01225 722987.
The changeable weather has meant that people are waiting to buy tickets, so good seats are available through the week, but rest assured, all the seats are in the covered stand, and if it rains, the show goes on.
