Thursday, April 5

ENGLAND’S most dynamic fiddle line-up are tuning up to appear in Marlborough on their 19th consecutive annual tour, fielding some of the most legendary names in folk, and a new addition.
The yearly spring tours by the flamboyant Feast of Fiddles, the fabulous fiddling sextet and their inventive backline, have now become a highlight of the folk calendar.
The celebrated 11-piece collective combines the colossal talents of some of Britain’s top fiddlers, Chris Leslie, Peter Knight, Ian Cutler, Brian McNeill, Garry Blakeley and Tom Leary, backed by Hugh Crabtree, Dave Mattacks, John Underwood, Martin Vincent Dave Harding, and, for the first time, saxophonoist Alan Whetton.
On Thursday they play at Marlborough Town Hall. Tickets for the 8pm show, price £17, are available by calling (01672) 512465 or online at www.marlboroughfolk-roots.co.uk
