An exhibition featuring a year’s worth of dogs is among the free events at The Pounds arts centre in Corsham this month.
A Dog A Day, which runs from February 27-April 11, features artist Sally Muir’s self-imposed challenge, begun in February 2013, to make a dog portrait every day for a year. At the end of those 365 days she saw no reason to stop and has since amassed a huge range of drawings, prints and paintings capturing the spirit of the dogs she meets each day – like the hound featured.
There’s also free music on Friday, February 13, from George Glew, who plays melodic songs with hints of folk and blues mixed with a background in rock music.
Free Fridays, the Pound’s series of free music nights, are being sponsored by local estate agent David Ingram Residential, and start at 8pm.
