Young actors from Warminster School have been rehearsing hard for their Senior School musical Anything Goes, which runs from November 20-22.

The Cole Porter classic is a fast-paced comedy full of madcap antics lasting the entire duration of a transatlantic voyage. Expect 1930s glitz, glamour and gangsters on a musical celebration from New York to London.

Annabel Hooper, head of drama, said: “Rehearsals are going well and pupils are looking forward to performing at The Athenaeum. This is a collaborative production with the music department, including many pupils and staff involved on or backstage. Discovering ways to get the shyest pupils to shine, whether in the limelight or behind the scenes, will always be our proudest achievement.”

Sixth former Marie-Claire Wood, who is playing one of the leads, nightclub singer Reno Sweeney, said: “I’m enjoying working on such a fast-paced and fun musical. It is great to work with pupils across four different year groups. All the cast are looking forward to opening night.”
