Marlborough Jazz Fest: King Salsa

King Salsa added a touch of eclecticism to the festival. King Salsa added a touch of eclecticism to the festival.

ANYONE who likes a bit of Latin music was in for a treat with one of the first acts of the festival as Robin Jones and King Salsa provided music to dance along to in the Priory Marquee.

The 13-piece Afro-Cuban group, led by the legendary conguero, brought together musicians from across the world to launch the festival in true, loud style.

The set was full of energy and the musicians clearly showed they were having fun as they jumped and danced around the stage as well as showcasing their musical talents.

A change from the trad jazz and blue style of many of the festivals acts, King Salsa showed just how diverse a range of performances are featured at Marlborough to suit a variety of musical tastes.
