Britain’s Got Talent finalists Entity Allstars have revealed that former winner Ashley Banjo is a huge backer of their group.

Ashley and his dance troupe Diversity were crowned the champions of the third series of the ITV competition in 2009, ahead of Scottish singer Susan Boyle.

Entity Allstars’ choreographer Tashan Muir said the former winner, whom he has worked with, has even been giving him some tips in the hope the group will follow their successful footsteps.

“He loved it (our performance). He’s asked me what we’re going to do for the final and has been giving tips,” he said.

“Ashley was doing Britain’s Got More Talent and I’m quite close to him. I go and support his tours – he gets me a VIP ticket for every tour,” Tashan continued.

“I’ve been on Got To Dance and other TV shows so I’ve got that professional relationship with him. We always exchange notes and stuff, so he’s a really cool guy. I always thank him for his feedback.”

Entity Allstars, made up of 20 dancers aged between 11 and 16, join Welsh choir Cor Glanaethwy to make it through to the final on May 31, after winning the judges’ vote following their Harry Potter-themed performance at last night’s semi final.

They previously won Alesha Dixon’s golden buzzer.

“Knowing we are through to the final of Britain’s Got Talent is crazy,” said Lewis Platt, with Tashan adding: “Just hearing we are finalists is like ‘Wow’.”

One of their members, Albie, took a tumble during the performance, but Tashan said he is doing “alright.”

“He took a bit of a fall yesterday, but he’s alright. Watching it from a choreographer’s point of view, it looked like it was part of it,” he explained.

“It was a good twist. He really was professional about it and styled it out so well. That showed me how professional these kids are, and it’s a big push for the final because everyone’s like, ‘Will he nail it on the final or not?’ We are all proud of him.”

Entity Allstars, who count former Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity and George Sampson amongst their inspiration, are planning a “big celebration” for their finale performance.

“We’ve got better routines, it will be more explosive and bigger tricks,” Tashan teased.

“A lot of people have asked about the theme and whether we’ll top Harry Potter. We’ve had Star Wars, we’ve had Hunger Games, we had Game Of Thrones and loads of other things thrown at us. We’re still thinking about it.”

He continued: “I think we just want to go out there and show everyone, especially Alesha and the judges, that we’re proud of who we are, we are proud to be here and thank you for voting for us…

“It’s just a big celebration whether it’s win, lose or draw. We feel like we’re winners in ourselves and we’ve done ourselves proud. We want to celebrate with everyone because every act in the final, including the choir, is going to be on top of their game. Everyone’s a winner.”

The Britain’s Got Talent live semi finals continue on ITV throughout the week, with the grand final on May 31.
