One of North Wales’ top male voice choirs will provide the full entertainment package in Llandudno next month.

Betws-y-Coed based Cantorion Gogledd Cymru will make its first concert appearance at St John’s Methodist Church on Saturday, June 2 at 8pm.

Founded in 1992 when some of North Wales’ finest male choral singers came together to form a male chorus that presents a varied programme including traditional male and well-known Welsh choruses, arrangements of popular songs from the musicals, one or two opera choruses as well as original items.

Their current Musical Director, Aled Wyn Edwards, has a passion for male choral singing and is keen to nurture and develop new exciting voices as well as promoting the established singers.

Uniquely, the choir uses its incredibly pool of talent within the choir to provide a “full entertainment package” in their concerts with their own MC’s, soloists, duettists and quartets.

The choir will be visiting Llandudno as part of a busy concert schedule that has seen the choir having excel at the Sligo and Mayo Festivals where they won the male voice categories and were also invited to Galway to take part in their “Celtic Choral Celebration”.

In the past year throughout North Wales and further afield, including Chelmsford, Liverpool, London, and for S4C’s Noson Lawen.

Tickets are £10 and are available from Gwyn Jones by calling 01745 822788 and on the door.
