The 2014 winners of the Wiltshire Rural Music School's prestigious Liz Lawrence award will be sharing their talents in an exciting and varied concert in the Devizes Town Hall’s beautiful Assembly Room on Friday, July 17 at 7.30pm.
The Liz Lawrence award is a competitive process to find and support a young musician who is about to go on to higher education, studying music at Music College or University. Cassie Dalby and Paddy Benedict shared the prize last year for their beautiful, but very different, singing styles. These two very talented young musicians have just completed the first year of their music degrees and are returning to Wiltshire to fulfil a requirement of the award by performing in public.
Paddy and Cassie have worked hard to create a wonderfully varied programme with something for all; from folk songs and Bob Dylan to Mozart and Faure, supported by friends and a local choir.
Come along and support these young musicians on their journey as professional musicians, enjoy beautiful music in a relaxed and beautiful environment and bring your friends and family for a great evening out. Tickets £10 and 18 and under go free.
