THIS would never normally be my first choice but its festive winter warmers enticed me in and I was surprised at the wide range of hot drinks and food available.

I opted for a honey and almond hot chocolate from their Christmas menu along with a turkey, bacon and stuffing ciabatta, and a slice of carrot cake on the side, giving me lunch for £10.33.

To my absolute surprise, the ciabatta was one of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The turkey and bacon was succulent, the stuffing and the cranberry sauce delicious and spinach tied the whole thing together nicely.

It was like having a Christmas dinner in a ciabatta and I could have polished off another.

I’ve always been a fan of carrot cake and the generous slice didn’t disappoint, beautifully moist and packed with flavour and spice. Mary Berry would definitely be proud.

Sadly, the hot chocolate was a complete letdown. The almond overpowered the chocolate and honey and it tasted more like a Bakewell tart hot chocolate. The whipped cream also made it far too sweet. I thought the variety of Christmas drinks they had were brilliant and would attract a lot of people but sadly I didn’t finish mine.
